Memorable Moments of Our Year!

HENRY: My most memorable moment was when we laid in the waterfall in Vantage, Washington.  While we were there it was hot and it felt good to lay in the cold water.  On that trip we also rock climbed and did a lot of awesome hikes.  I saw three rattlesnakes.  This was probably one of the best trips we have taken over my years of being at Westside.

Amber: My most memorable moments were when we hiked around Pete Lake during the fall trip in the beginning of the year, competed against the 8th grade Volleyball Team and won twice, and when our band Deported sang Ho Hey and Wrecking Ball in the car ride home from the spring trip. I also truly enjoyed meeting a young river rafting guide who looked identical to Peeta from the Hunger Games, as well Susannah sitting on a table in Blog class and breaking the leg.

Luke:  Well my most memorable moment of this school year is when we were on our rafting trip and we had a raft guide named Porter and he was really funny.  Also when in class Susannah said a joke when someone was presenting and Andre's Lopez Castro said "Huh, good one Susannah!" It was very funny at the moment.  Also when Susannah found out about Owen Tabbuts giant stash of pencils in his locker and I had to hold her back from questioning Owen more.  Also one of my best moments was when one of our guides looked exactly like Peeta from Hunger games and I asked him if he was and he said he never saw the movies.

Ella: My favorite memories of this year were: getting to know and develop my friendships, our end of the year rafting trip, taking a field trip to the Jerusalem film at the Science Center and learning about ancient history, building a robot with Lauren, it was difficult but we finally finished it.

Aisha- My most memorable moment of this year was in Ski Bus. I was with Kayla and we were exploring different ways to go down the mountain. One was popping out of our skis and going through the jumps. But when both of us really laughed was when I was skiing down and mountain and started crouching. After awhile I wiped out and my ski popped off, we both laughed super hard and had to go pee afterwards. I also loved when Susannah was sitting on the table and it broke in the middle of Blog.

Christopher: My most favorite moment this year was the last game of the basketball season. We won; it was very memorable because it was was Owen Tabbutt's last game. We won by a lot, and it was very fun, except it was sad at the end.

Kate: My most memorable moments of the year were when we had the pleasure of hiking 2000 feet in elevation over the course of two days in 100 degree heat during our fall trip, when Aisha missed a gigantic boulder right in front of her, and our band Deported on the spring trip. (Wrecking Ball and Ho Hey were our top two hit singles) Additionally, I will never forget when Susannah fell and broke a table while in blog and when Kayla attempted to kick a soccer ball in P.E. and then slipped and fell.

Kenji: My most memorable moment was when a fellow classmate (Owen Tabbutt a hall of famer four-square player) introduced us to a game called MUFF, it is basically P.I.G. With the exception that you juggler the ball with your feet in a circle and then the person that misses  the ball gets a letter than on your fourth letter you must face back first on a wall and then get a ball shot at you and if they hit you with it they move closer and so on.

Andres: My most memorable moment at Westside is when we went on our rafting trip we got to hang out with pretty chill guy named Porter.

Daisy- My most memorable moment was on Valentines Day were we didn't do anything after lunch except for eating a whole bunch of chocolate and film a short movie. We sat in Alicia Betty's room for two and a half hours. The teachers could barely tolerate us because we were so loud. By the end of the two and a half hours we had a 10 second movie of clay animals running around in circles.

Kayla- My most memorable moment of this year was the Ski Bus, when I was skiing with Aisha and we decided to slide down on our skies on our butts. Then we stood up and Aisha whipped out and was tangled in her skies. She was in great pain, and we had to go pee afterwards because it was just so funny. I also really enjoyed when Susannah sat on the table in blog and the leg of the table popped off and she fell, it was very entertaining.

Scarlett- I had many memorable experiences this year but I would have to say some of my all time favorite memories were:  when Kayla questioned what a triangle was in the middle of geometry, when Aisha thought the Sun was smaller than Earth, also when the seventh graders beat the eighth graders... Twice. And when Susannah sat on a table and it broke and lastly when Andres said he could walk, and he fell over. All of these moments were funny and great.
